b'COVID ResponseThe safety of our employees and their families is at the forefront of our COVIDResponse Plan.In late March 2020, we quickly transitioned all employees to work from home and began heavily utilizing virtual technology platforms. Our employees adapted seamlessly to their new work environment maintaining high levels of productivity. From the beginning of the pandemic, our Executive Management Team took a proactive approach to communicate, inform, and strengthen relationships withemployees remotely. We continually notified employees of the federal, state, andlocal guidelines to mitigate the risk of contracting COVID-19 in addition to providing information about local testing sites and available resources. We also kept employees updated on benefits available to them through the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and the CARES Act. As a gesture of appreciation and to aid in transitioning to remote work environments, the company awarded over $300,000 in gift cards to employees in 2020. We are pleased to announce that our workforce returned to the office in May 2021. VIA is committed to the health and safety of our employees and will continue to monitor COVID-19. With policies and procedures in line with the federal, state, and local guidelines, we are striving to provide the safest workplace possible.Community InvolvementActive involvement in the community has always been a core value at VIA Renewables. We are involved with numerous charitable organizations in the Houston area, including Child Advocates, The Woods Project, Houston Food Bank, Memorial ParkConservancy, Cajun Navy Relief, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. In June 2021, we launched a community service initiative to further encourageemployees to be regularly involved in the community. Each employee will be awarded time each month to partake in a community service project of their choice. In addition, the company will match contributions for each employee up to $250 dollars per year to a charity of their choice. As we focus on year-end 2021 and future community involvement initiatives, we are seeking to broaden our scope past our Houston corporate headquarters and impact other communities in the states in which we operate. While this may take time, we are excited about new partnership opportunities in the communities we serve.VIA RENEWABLES SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 7'
